PRIVACY NOTICE REGARDING THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
FOR JOB APPLICANTS AND INTERNSHIP APPLICANTS
Menatek Savunma Teknolojileri Sanayi Ticaret Anonim Şirketi (“the Company” or “Menatek”) takes the utmost care to ensure the security of the personal data you have shared with us. In this context, as the data controller, we have prepared the following Privacy Notice in accordance with Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Act No. 6698 (“the Act” or “KVKK”), the following Information Notice has been prepared to inform you about the personal data processed, the methods and legal grounds for collecting your personal data, the purposes of processing, the parties to whom your data may be transferred, and your rights as a data subject.
- Data Controller
In accordance with the KVKK, as the Company, acting in the capacity of data controller, we may process, record, store, classify, update and, where permitted by legislation and/or limited to the purpose for which they are processed, disclose or transfer your personal data to third parties.
- Your Personal Data Being Processed
The following personal data that you provide to us by completing the application form via the https://www.menatek.com.tr/tr/kariyer/ website as part of your job application may be processed:
Identity Data: Your first name, surname and date of birth
Contact Data: Your email address, postal address, telephone number
Professional Experience Information: Your CV and the information it contains, your educational background, your graduation date, information regarding your professional history, foreign language skills, and certification details
Visual and Audio Records: Your photograph
Other: Your military service status, any other information you provide
In the context of your job application, we kindly request that you do not share any special category personal data, as defined under the Personal Data Protection Act (KVKK), in your CV or in any other documents you submit to us.
- Purpose of Processing Your Personal Data
The personal data we process is processed for the purpose of planning and/or conducting the application, selection and assessment processes for employee/intern candidates, in accordance with Article 5(2)(f) of KVKK, “Where the processing of data is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that such processing does not infringe upon the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject”.
- Transfer of Processed Personal Data
Your personal data processed for the purposes outlined above may be transferred to, shared with, and/or access to your personal data may be granted to the persons listed below, in accordance with the fundamental principles set out in the KVKK and within the scope of the conditions and purposes for processing personal data specified in Article 5 of the KVKK.
Your personal data may be transferred, shared with, and/or access to your personal data may be granted to the following parties for the purposes of candidate assessment and recruitment decisions, cloud backup processes, and the procurement of services from third-party service providers, in accordance with Article 5(2)(f) of the KVKK “Where the processing of data is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that this does not infringe upon the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject”, with third-party service providers and, where necessary, the recruitment service provider.
Furthermore, we would like to point out that it is the responsibility of the job applicant to inform the individuals listed as references in your CV and, where necessary, to obtain their explicit consent in accordance with the KVKK.
- Method and Legal Basis for the Collection of Your Personal Data
Your personal data is collected by the Company through various channels – verbally, in writing or electronically – for the purpose of carrying out our activities and in accordance with the purposes set out above. In this context, your personal data may be processed and transferred in accordance with Article 5(2)(f) of KVKK, which states: ‘Processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that such processing does not infringe upon the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject’, in the light of the principles set out in Article 4(2) of the KVKK.
